    Despite the outcry, the government appears apathetic to violence against women

    It’s reported everyday. And yet it shows no signs of abating. Violence against women appears to be on the rise in Nepal, in part because of anti-victim laws that make it difficult for women to get justice. Kristi Maskey and Alina Acharya asked prominent women’s rights advocates where in Nepal violence against women is on the rise, and why.
